Seat Exchange offers a 100% Guarantee which ensures that Buyers will receive the tickets they purchased in time for the event.

What events are listed on Seat Exchange?

Seat Exchange has thousands of Sport, Concerts, Theatre and other Exclusive events for users to Buy and Sell tickets for. We offer an extensive range and are constantly adding new events every day. If you cannot find the event you are looking for and want to suggest that we add this event to the website, please Contact Us.

How do I find my event?

There are three ways to find the event you’re looking for on Seat Exchange. If your event is listed on our home page, click the link to go directly to the tickets listed for that event. Alternatively, you can select the category for your event from any page on the website, then choose the relevant sub-category to find your event. You can also find your specific event with the QuickSearch tool, which allows you to search by event, category, venue, date range and/or day of the week.

Is there any difference between using the QuickSearch tool and the Search field how do I find my event?

Our two search tools allow you to either to simply search the name of the event, or to search in more by specifying location, dates and days of the week. If you know the name of the event you would like to attend and would like to see all the venues, or you know the venue and would like to see all the events at this venue, you can use the search tool in the top right hand corner. If you would like a more specific search including event, category, location, date range and days of the week, you can use our QuickSearch tool.

What can I do if I see that the details for an event are incorrect?

If you find an event where the date, time, location or other details are incorrect, please let us know about this by using the Contact Us tool. We answer all messages and will respond as soon as we can. We will also investigate the listing and update the relevant details based on your feedback.

How do I know if there are tickets available to purchase for my event?

If there are tickets available to purchase for an event, the ‘View Tickets’ link will be displayed next to the event name. Where this link is not displayed, we do not currently have tickets available for the event. However, sellers are listing tickets on a daily basis so please check regularly to see if new tickets have been added. If we do not have the event that you want to purchase tickets for, please visit the Contact Us section and send us a message. We will review the event and if approved will list this on the website. We will also try to find tickets for you to purchase and then email you when these tickets become available.

Why are there multiple listings of tickets available to purchase for the event I want to attend?

Seat Exchange aims to offer the widest choice of tickets to every event. There are many sellers listing tickets for all our events, at a variety of prices for different locations, which is why you will see multiple listings of tickets that you can purchase.

Why are only certain tickets available for events?

Seat Exchange provides a marketplace for fans to Buy and Sell tickets to events. Seat Exchange does not operate a box office with tickets to all sections of stadia and arenas, so we only display tickets listed for sale on our website by sellers.

Why is there a limit on the multiples of tickets I can purchase?

The multiples of which you can purchase tickets are set by the seller. For some events, we will have numerous single tickets for sale and for others sellers may specify that they only want to be sold in pairs, threes or even fours.

If I cannot find the exact seats I want, should I wait for a seller to list them?

Seat Exchange only displays tickets that have been listed for sale by sellers. We can't guarantee that any tickets may or may not be listed in the future for other sections of the venue, so if you really want to attend the event we recommend you purchase tickets from those available on the site.

Why is an event listed if there are no tickets available to purchase?

Seat Exchange provides a marketplace for users to buy and sell tickets, with new sellers registering to list their tickets all the time. We are committed to providing comprehensive event information, allowing Seat Exchange to deliver a service even when you are not interested in buying or selling tickets, but also when you want to check details such as location, date and time for an event.

Why is it not possible to buy tickets less than 5 days prior to an event?

Seats listed on Seat Exchange expire 5 days prior to the event time. This constraint exists so that tickets can be processed and delivered to you in time for the match.

How do I select the tickets I want for the event?

When you have found the event that you want to attend, select these tickets from the available list. You may see multiple tickets listed at varying prices. These will often be priced by the seller according to the seats they have listed (for example, tickets on the half-way line for a football match will usually be more expensive than those placed behind the goal or in the corners). We recommend that you check the location of the seats carefully so you can make an informed decision about the tickets you wish to purchase.

How can I see where tickets are located in the venue?

Venue maps are provided for most venues listed on Seat Exchange, so you can see where your seats are located. This will give you a good indication of where you will be sitting. If the venue is general admission/standing you will not have a reserved space and we recommend you arrive early to get a space close to the stage.

Once I have selected my tickets, are they reserved?

Once you select your tickets, they are ‘locked’ for three minutes, giving you plenty of time to complete your transaction. This means that for the following three minutes these tickets are not available for any other Seat Exchange users to buy. If you do not complete your purchase within three minutes, the tickets will be released back to the general listings and made available to everyone on the Seat Exchange website.

How are tickets priced?

The prices of the tickets sold on Seat Exchange are determined by the Seller (or the market for offers), depending on what sale method the Seller chooses. If the Seller chooses 'Fixed Price', they set the price. If the seller decides to ‘Accept Offers’, then the price is effectively determined by the market.

Why are some tickets listed for above the face value price?

Tickets are listed at the price the Seller wishes to sell them for. Seat Exchange does not impose controls on the price that Sellers can list their tickets for. We recommend that Sellers review the prices of existing listings when deciding on their price to maximise the likelihood of their tickets selling. All tickets listed by Seat Exchange on behalf of our team partners are priced at face value.

The tickets I am interested in are more expensive than most other listings. Should I still buy them?

Seat Exchange allows Sellers to list their tickets at whatever price they choose. As we’re independent, we don’t look to influence Buyers on what price they should pay for tickets. To help you when choosing tickets, we ask Sellers to provide as much information about their tickets as possible, and also provide seating charts so you can see where tickets are located in the venue.

Are there fees for buying tickets on Seat Exchange?

Seat Exchange handles your transaction and offers a 100% Guarantee for Buyers, there is a 15% fee on most transactions, in addition to the ticket price and delivery charge. All fees are shown on the final step of the purchase process for you to verify before confirming your purchase. Please keep in mind that, upon completing your purchase, all sales are final.

Do Seat Exchange prices include taxes?

All tickets prices for listings on Seat Exchange include VAT, and it is the responsibility of the Seller to pay any taxes due on the tickets. Any VAT payable on our fees is then clearly displayed on the purchase confirmation page and in your confirmation or offer email(s).

Can I send tickets to someone as a present?

Yes you can – tickets to a sporting event, concert, or evening at the theatre make a great present. To send tickets to a friend or relative, simply enter their name and address when selecting the delivery address. The billing information will be sent to you, so all details of the transaction will remain confidential. Just remember that the person receiving the tickets will need to sign for them on delivery.

Why can I buy tickets for Premier League football matches on Seat Exchange?

Seat Exchange is an Official Partner of Aston Villa, Manchester City and Celtic Football Clubs, and is authorised to sell match tickets and VIP hospitality tickets. As an Official Partner, all ticket purchases for these teams are completely legal and endorsed by the Clubs.

What are 'Ticket Notes'?

Ticket Notes are additional information provided by Sellers to Buyers specifically about the tickets they have listed, e.g. that they are seats on the aisle, or located in the centre of the venue, etc.

What are 'Listing Extras'?

Listing Extras are additional details provided by Sellers to Buyers about the entire listing they have submitted. This can incorporate a range of information – e.g. the listing also includes a parking pass, a one-night stay in a local hotel, includes VIP passes, etc.

The tickets I want include a meal or hotel as part of a package. Can I just purchase the tickets on their own?

Packages which include a hotel room, meal or other extras are offered for sale by Seat Exchange Sellers. We are not able to sell tickets (or another other element of these packages) individually.

What is the Listing Expiry Date?

The listing expiry date is the date that a ticket listing expires and is set by the seller. The latest expiry date is 5 days prior to the event. This deadline has been set to ensure that the Seller has time to send their ticket(s) to the Buyer in time for the event.

What payment methods can I use on Seat Exchange?

Seat Exchange accepts the following:

  • Credit Cards: MasterCard and Visa
  • Debit Cards: Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, and Solo

We do not apply separate credit card fees over and above the standard Buyer Fee, so you can choose whichever method is most convenient for you without incurring additional charges from Seat Exchange.

When is my card charged?

The time that your card is charged depends on the type of purchase you are making. If you submit a purchase for a Fixed Price, your card will be authorised when you submit the purchase and will be charged when the seller confirms the transaction. On the rare occasion that the seller is not able to confirm the transaction, the authorisation will be removed from your card and you will not be charged.

If you submit an offer to buy tickets, an authorisation will be placed on your card for the value of the offer, including Buyer and Delivery Fees and any taxes on our Fees. Your card will only be charged when the Seller accepts your Offer or you accept the Seller’s Counter-Offer. If the Offer is declined or expires, the authorisation will be removed from your card and you will not be charged.

If you have any queries regarding how an authorisation affects your credit or debit card, please contact your Bank.

Is it safe to pay by credit or debit card?

Purchasing tickets from Seat Exchange using a credit / debit card is safe, secure and guaranteed. Every transaction you make is both protected, with all your details being processed confidentially and securely using 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. We use VeriSign to ensure the security of our website and your personal details. Verisign is a global provider of digital certificate solutions that provide Internet users with peace of mind when sending information to web sites, sending emails, and downloading computer code over the internet.

How will the charge appear on my statement?

The charge for your tickets will appear on your credit or debit card statement as "Seat Exchange (Europe) Limited".

I have bought tickets but now cannot attend the event, what should I do?

List them for sale on Seat Exchange! If you purchase tickets from us for an event but at a later date realise you cannot attend, simply list the seats for sale on Seat Exchange for other Buyers to purchase. Click here to sell your tickets.

If you have bought or been given tickets to an even that you now cannot attend, Seat Exchange is a safe and secure way to sell your tickets to another fan. Seat Exchange offer a reliable and easy way to list your tickets, and our 100% Guarantee ensures that you will get paid if your tickets sell.

Are there fees for listing and selling tickets on Seat Exchange?

Listing your tickets on Seat Exchange is free – there is no listing fee, unlike other sites. Seat Exchange only applies a fee when you have sold your tickets. A 10% fee is applied to most transactions, which is also subject to VAT. Seat Exchange then take care of all the logistics, payment processing and customer service, ensuring that you are fully reimbursed for postage and are not affected by bank charges. All fees are shown on the final step of the listing process for you to verify before confirming your listing.

Why must I provide my credit card details to list tickets?

By providing us with your credit card details, we can confirm your identity and ensure that both the Seller and the Buyer are protected from fraudulent transactions. Your credit card will not be charged unless you fail to deliver tickets you have committed to sell . If you do fail to deliver your ticket(s), your card will be charged for any additional cost incurred by Seat Exchange to source replacement tickets for the Buyer of equal or better quality.

How do I find my event?

We provide our Sellers with an easy way to search for your event. Simply click the Sell Tickets link and use our QuickSearch tool to find the event(s) you are looking for. You can search by event, category, location, or date and then filter the results to match your criteria.

What do I do if the event I want to sell tickets for is not listed?

If you cannot find the event you are looking for, please send us a message via the Contact Us tool, and we will add your event to the website, if we are able to do so.

There are currently many tickets on sale for the event, is it worth listing mine?

If you want to list your tickets for sale, Seat Exchange is the best market to use. Remember that Buyers decide which tickets they want to purchase, so your tickets may be exactly what someone is looking for and at the price they are prepared to pay. Where there are a lot of tickets for sale, you can select a more competitive price, allowing your tickets to stand out.

There are currently no tickets on sale for the event, is it worth listing mine?

Definitely. If your tickets are the only ones listed for the event, then you have the highest chance of selling them. Seat Exchange has Buyers who are constantly searching our website for tickets to purchase.

What options do I have for listing my tickets?

There are three methods for selling your ticket(s): Fixed Price, Fixed Price and Accepting Offers, or Accepting Offers.

What information should I list about my tickets?

We recommend that you provide as many details as possible about your tickets. Buyers are more likely to purchase tickets which have lots of information about their location in the venue. You should include all relevant information, such as if your tickets are in the front row, as this will justify a higher price and increase the likelihood of your tickets being purchased.

I am selling more than one ticket. Can I choose how many I sell at one time?

Yes, you can choose to sell your tickets as singles, pairs, or as a group.

What price should I charge for my tickets?

Seat Exchange ensures that all tickets listed for every event are published on our website for Buyers and Sellers to view and compare. We recommend selling your tickets for a similar price to those in the same section/location for that event. A lower price than the average may increase your chances of a quicker sale, whilst charging more than the average could lead to your tickets not selling as quickly as some others

Why are other tickets listed for the event cheaper or more expensive than mine?

Sellers are able to list their tickets for any price that they choose. Some sellers may list their tickets for more or less than the price you have listed at. Sellers are also able to sell in a variety of locations, so other seats may be situated in a more or less attractive location.

How long can I list my tickets for?

You can list your tickets until no later than five days before the event. However, you can choose to list them for a shorter period of time if you wish. This listing period ensures that Sellers have enough time to send their tickets to the Buyer before the event.

How long will it take to sell my tickets?

There is no set time for how long your tickets might take to sell. It will depend on a number of factors, including the event you are selling for, the location of your tickets, and what other tickets are listed for the same event. To make sure your tickets have the best chance of selling, we recommend pricing them competitively compared to others on the site.

How will I know if my tickets have sold?

You will receive an email if you tickets sell, asking you to confirm the sale. You must confirm the sale as soon as possible. You will then receive details on how to send your ticket(s) to the Buyer.

What do I do if I receive an Offer?

Buyers can make an offer on your ticket(s) if you list them to accept offers. When you receive an offer, you have 24 hours to accept, reject or counter the offer. If you accept the offer, the transaction will be complete and you will receive details on how to send your ticket(s) to the Buyer. If you choose to reject the offer, the transaction will be cancelled and your tickets will be automatically re-listed for sale. If you choose to submit a counter-offer, the Buyer will have 1 hour to respond to you.

How do I send my ticket(s) to the Buyer?

You will receive an email from Seat Exchange detailing specific instructions on the process of sending your ticket(s) to the Buyer. If the tickets are to be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery or International Signed For, you will be required to send these from your nearest Post Office and will be reimbursed for the cost. If your tickets are to be sent by FedEx International Priority, you will receive a link to print a delivery label. You must then schedule a pick up, free of charge, to send the tickets to the Buyer.

Do I need access to a printer?

For certain delivery options (e.g. FedEx) you will need access to a printer so you can create the delivery label.

Will I have any other contact with the Buyer?

No, the only contact you have with the Buyer is sending them the ticket(s). Seat Exchange manage all payments, customer service and liaise with both Buyers and Sellers so the tickets arrive in time for the event and the Seller gets paid.

How and when do I get paid?

You will receive payment for the tickets you have sold 7-10 days after delivery has been confirmed. Delivery includes where the Buyer was not in, so your payment will not be delayed, provided you have sent the correct ticket(s) to the correct address in the agreed time. Your payment will be credited via your chosen method. We currently send all payments via cheque to your preferred address, but will offer the opportunity to be paid via BACS in the near future.
